When receiving this question by message, we will often give a ball park figure, but prefer to see you in person to size up where you want to get it, how big it is, and the amount of detail involved. Just looking at a picture on the screen, and seeing the physical reality are very different. That is why we always encourage you to come in and talk to us.
Factors that determine tattoo prices:
The cost of a tattoo will depend on the skill of the artist. As with any art form, there are levels of professionalism. Tyas has been tattooing for over 25 years, and this shows in his work. Remember, you are getting a work of art on your body, for life. It is worth getting it from a professional.
There are a variety of designs to choose from, and some are very simple, whereas others are more intricate. The more detail there is, the more it will cost.
The larger the tattoo, obviously, the higher the price and the smaller the tattoo, the cheaper it is. A larger tattoo is more detailed and takes more time. The size plays a HUGE factor in tattoo prices.
The cost is not the only factor, also consider the quality
As I said above, this is a work of art, that you are putting on your body. Of course you want to have an idea of how much it is going to cost, but that should not be your main motivation. You are going to have to live with this on your body for the rest of your life, therefore quality is the key. You also need to feel comfortable with the artist, as this is a very personal experience. Often our customers become lifelong friends, and put their complete trust in us.
