There are so many amazing things to do in Bali, you really are spoilt for choice. If you choose to come here to join our teacher practice, it would be a great idea to book a longer holiday to enjoy some of these sights:
Breakfast at the Nook
Just a few minutes ride away, this a beautiful spot out in the rice fields, where you can enjoy a great breakfast, while looking out at the view
Batu Belig Beach
If you prefer the beach, this is also very close by, and a great spot to enjoy a young coconut drink while enjoying the sea breeze.
Uluwatu Sundays beach club
Come a day or two early, and take a trip further south to enjoy the Sunday beach club before starting the course
Waterports in Benoa
Get a thrill of a lifetime by trying this flyboarding, or any of the other water sport activities available, including banana boat, flying fish and so on.
This town is fairly central, and is a small artists village, where you can enjoy a rice field walk in the early morning along Campuhan ridge, and soak in the beautiful view:
Rafting by night:
The Ayung river flows beside Ubud, and there are a few rafting companies offering raft tours by day and by night
This waterfall is about 5 kilometers south of Ubud, and has several waterfalls to enjoy, by simply sitting on the rocks, or taking a swim in the cool water. It is the best way to cool down and enjoy the natural beauty:
If you want to have a bit of a break from the hot weather, you can escape to Bedugul, where the temperature is noticeably cooler. Take a walk around the botanical gardens, and climb in the trees on the treetop adventure
Tanah Lot is the famous temple in the ocean, it is a beautiful place to visit, but beware of the old superstitious belief that if you go here with a boyfriend or girlfriend, your relationship will soon be over. Believe it or not, but its probably not worth the risk!
These are the most beautiful rice terraces in Bali, protected by UNESCO, and using organic farming methods, they are providing the best rice in town!
If you have more time, a trip up North is well worth it, there is a very different pace of life up there, and the beaches are black sand, but still worth a visit. An early morning trip to go and see the dolphins is an unforgettable experience
